FareShare Scotland is the country's largest charitable redistributor of surplus food, with a vision that no good food should go to waste.
We work through four Scottish regional centres, each delivered in partnership with local charitable organisations, and support a network of over 750 food-using community organisations all over Scotland.
In 2020/21, we distributed around 7,000 tonnes of food, equivalent to 16 million meals, or one meal every two seconds.
Why climate action is important to us:
“If food waste was a country, it would be the third biggest emitter of greenhouse gases on the planet. FareShare Scotland wants to make sure that good food gets eaten, ending food waste, and creating opportunities for communities across the country.”
